Photovoltaic-battery (PVB) systems allow
consumers to reduce their dependence on the local electricity supplier at lower or equivalent costs. However, the profitability of PVB systems depends greatly on the local meteorological conditions, the local electricity retail tariff, roof orientation, the individual load profile shape, etc. In this project we explore and analyze different operating modes which increase the economics of PVB systems using simulation methods based on a large dataset of real-world load profiles.
